All our cabinets are tested for and compliant with IEC standards, which are both legal requirements and market quality seals.

Our productions perfectly meet the demands of new-generation low voltage panel users :

  • Safety of people and equipment
  • Availability of power
  • Long-term reliability and compliance
Our quality commitments apply when designing a comprehensively compliant “system” :
  • Check interactions and consistency between tools and equipment
  • Provide protection against electrical, mechanical and structural risks
  • Simplify system maintenance and upgrading during installation life
We can provide you with a copy of the first page of the 7 certificates for each panel.

The IEC – International Electrotechnical Commission

logo-IECThe International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) is the worldwide organisation that prepares and publishes International Standards regarding all electrical, electronic and related technologies. More than 10,000 experts from industry, commerce, government, research, university and consumer groups take part in IEC standardisation work.

The IEC is one of the three world organisations that develop International Standards, the other two being ISO (International Organization for Standardization) and ITU (International Telecommunication Union).

The new IEC 61439-1&2 Standard is the reference for low-voltage electrical panel construction. Specific subjects such as warming or dielectric properties are dealt with in Part 1 of IEC 61439 (General Rules). Specific rules for sets are included in Part 2.

10 functions to define IEC 61439-1&2

All checks prescribed by Standard IEC 61439 contribute to the achievement of 3 basic objectives:

  • Protection against surges;
  • Capacity to conduct current;
  • Resistance to short circuits;
  • Protection against electric shocks;
  • Protection against fire.

Continuity of Service

  • Maintenance, extension and upgrade capacity;
  • Electromagnetic compatibility.

Compliance with Final User’s Requirements

  • Capacity for the electrical installation to be operated;
  • Capacity to be installed on site;
  • Protection against environmental impact.

Main Standard Changes

Overall standards have been changed from NF EN 60439 to NF EN 61439 with a view to:
  • better addressing all units;
  • guaranteeing that specified performances are met;
  • clarifying or reinforcing many requirements.
